“I moved from the Philippines where I used to work at a process engineer and studied at university.
I choose to study with LTT because they are nationally recognised and I can use my certificate throughout Australia. I wanted to go to a training organisation that would make me feel comfortable with what I’m learning.
The MSL40118 Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques course was very knowledgeable, provided supplementary information about the industry and what we would expect. My favourite part of the course was learning about the spectrophotometry and learning how to prepare solutions. I love chemistry and this course made me feel more confident about what I am doing in this industry. We also were given more knowledge about the importance of safety and how to keep others around us safe.
My first week at LTT, we had SGS come to visit us with a presentation about the type of work they do, and the job offers. What really excited me about SGS was that they offer a career and not just a job and that got me excited, because that is what I wanted. I was contacted during my course and was offered employment with them. LTT supported me and helped me transition to a traineeship to complete the rest of my course.”
