“I have worked as a Laboratory Technician in veterinary diagnostic laboratories and pastoral research in the past. I am currently working as the sole Laboratory Technician at a secondary school.
I found out about LTT through the Laboratory Technicians Association of Victoria. I studied the MSL40118 Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques through my employer to confirm that the skills I had learned on the job were correct and to improve my skills and knowledge to make me a better employee.
I am now in the process of applying to do the Diploma in Laboratory Technology, specialising in schools. In the future I hope to complete a Training and Assessment Course so that I will be able to train lab techs in the future.
