“Thank you for providing the course utilising recognition of prior learning. It was completed in balance of everyday work life and after hours, being able to work at my own pace. I will be referring your training services to future employees in need of qualifications.”
Following feedback from the construction materials testing (CMT) industry in the NT, LTT identified the need for professionally delivered training and recognition pathways for experienced workers. An additional barrier identified was the lack of available government funding to partially subsidise this delivery.
In conjunction with the Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT), LTT supported a thorough industry consultation and training needs analysis process culminating in a successful application for the Northern Territory Government’s Industry Buildskills program. This program is now providing significant financial support to industry for the delivery of this critical training.
LTT commenced enrolments into the contextualised MSL60118 Advanced Diploma of Laboratory Operations program in mid-2019, and immediately began a robust recognition of prior learning process followed by face-to-face gap training where identified.
In response to travel restrictions due to COVID-19, training and assessment delivery was seamlessly converted to a virtual pathway by incorporating LTT’s established eLearning systems to ensure continuity of delivery. Successful graduations are now enabling additional capability and opportunities to the businesses, participants and more broadly the industry.
LTT are proud to be able to support the needs of our clients and the communities they work in and have the expertise and proven track record of successful delivery of a full suite of training solutions to suit the project requirements.
“It was my pleasure to support Nathan through the recognition of prior learning process. As a former CMT Lab Manager, I am very aware of just how demanding the role in the construction materials sector can be, however Nathan worked toward his qualification in a timely fashion with eagerness and determination. Nathan’s successful completion was well deserved.”
